Uses: Millwork, paneling, cabinets, furniture, doors, moldings, flooring, boat
interiors
Mechanical Properties: Medium density, good bending properties, low stiffness,
medium strength and shock resistance. Moderate shrinkage when green.
Dimensionally stable when kiln dried.
Description: Heartwood varies rich red to reddish brown and highlights of
sapwood which is creamy white. Uniform straight grain. Satiny, smooth texture,
can naturally contains brown pith flecks and small gum pockets
Working Properties: Works well machining, nails, screws, & glues well.
Finishing: Stains well when sanded. Will darken with age and exposure to light.
