On-site manufacturing allows Aitkin Hardwoods to offer our customers truly unique solid wood floors (or paneling) and matching stairs. We specialize in domestic wood species in different grades and styles.
Solid Wood Flooring: Our standard thickness is manufactured as ¾” thickness; other thicknesses are available upon request. Our standard width options are sold random typically 2-1/4”, through 6” width and random length 1’ to 8’. We have the option to manufacture you flooring square edge or beveled edge. The butt ends are T&G or “end matched” that can be ran beveled or square cut also.

- Premium Grade Smooth Flooring: These products would allow limited color variation and other natural accruing characteristics.
Circle Sawn Pine
Tongue and groove, random length, random width ( 3”, 4”, 5”), micro beveled edge, square end matched, 50/50 sanding. This can be flooring, wall paneling, and ceiling paneling.
Weathered Circle Sawn Pine
Tongue and groove, random length, 2-1/4”, 3”, 5” width, square edge. Choose to have it a light sanding or not at all. While supplies last. This is wall Paneling and ceiling paneling, not flooring.
Circle Sawn White Oak
Tongue and groove, random length, random width (3”, 4”, 5”), micro beveled edge, square end matched, 50/50 sanding. This can be flooring, wall paneling, and ceiling paneling.
Circle Sawn Red Oak
Tongue and groove, random length, random width (3”,4”,5”), micro beveled edge, square end matched, 50/50 sanding. This can be flooring, wall paneling, and ceiling paneling.
Smooth Pine
Tongue and groove, random length, 6” width, Miro beveled edge, square end matched. This can be flooring, wall paneling, and ceiling paneling.

Timber Ridge Plank Wood Flooring
Enjoy the best rustic, natural textured flooring and paneling from Aitkin Hardwoods!
Timber Ridge Plank Flooring & Paneling is made of solid wood and a natural grade of lumber with a textured surface. The flooring is manufactured on-site to a 3/4″ thickness in random widths and lengths. Custom sizes are available upon request. Installation is typically site-finished.
Circle Sawn Plank Wood Flooring
This rustic product is currently only available in Northern Oak and Pine species. The product utilizes the actual sawmill log cut surface directly from the saw log.
Hit and Miss Most circle sawn products are seldom used in their full rough sawn state. Usually the material is lightly surfaced or “skip planed” to level off the high spots and accentuate the saw marks.
We refer to this as Hit and Miss. The customer can specify the percentage of Hit and Miss as desired. This will vary from a “Light Hit and Miss”, a “50/50 Hit and Miss”, a “70/30 Hit and Miss”, or a “Heavy Hit and Miss” where only a few random saw marks remain.
You can order how deep you want the “HITS” on the Circle Sawn, as shown below. The materials are processed into flooring, solid wood paneling and millwork options customized to meet your individual project requirements.
Note: Wood flooring is a moving living material and there is no guarantee or warranties with nature. Installation ranges from floating, glue down, nail or staple.
